25 cats are waking up to a second chance today thanks to Landpilots David Stash and Dennis Bayne. Cats need special care and attention on transports and Dave and Dennis’s calm demeanor and love of animals was the perfect match for this mission. Each carrier inside the Landplane was sprayed with Feliway to calm the cats for their journey from danger to safety. Sadly a few of these cats were found inside a dumpster. Its a depressing story that we hear often and it makes trips like this that much more meaningful to our volunteer team.

The team headed down to Animal Friends of Barbour County in Belington, WV. This is wonderful shelter that is able to help so many animals. Moving these 25 cats gives them a better chance at finding their furver homes especially since they went to the worlds largest no kill shelter, North Shore Animal League America. NSALA is the place to be if you are a cat looking for a new home. With millions of potential adopters right in their backyard these 25 cats will have no problem finding their furever home.

With space now created at the shelter in WV, animals who are abandoned or lost now have a place to go to either be reunited with their families or find that new person who will love them furever. Great mission, 1000 plus miles, incredible dedication by David and Dennis!
