8 dogs and 20 cats have a team of saviors watching over and helping them on their journey from Danger to Safety. No Dog Left Behind Landpilots Mark Britton and Megan Becer made the long journey to Florence, SC to help give a second chance to 28 souls for whom a ride to a new beginning meant all the difference in the world.
The mission started off on Friday when Mark and Megan headed down to South Carolina where they spent the night. Early Saturday morning they met up with the Florence Area Humane Society and carefully loaded 28 animals into our amazing climate controlled Landplane. With a full load of love, the team headed north to Animal Care and Welfare, Inc in Georgetown, PA where all 28 animals will now have a second chance to find their furever home.
These missions are done free of charge to the shelters. It takes a team of dedicated people who work behind the scenes to make these missions a reality. It starts with Mary Kennedy Withrow and Rachel Logan who prep the equipment, coordinate the missions and act as “mission control,” sometimes late into the night, to make these trips a reality. These two going above and beyond to make sure every detail is covered so our Pilots and Land Pilots can shine.
Thank you Mary and Rachel for being the spark that lights our way. And to the countless volunteers like Mark and Megan, your commitment and dedication is inspiring to all of us who share that common love of our four-legged friends. Lastly, to our donors and friends, without your support we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. Thank you for your ongoing commitment to Leave No Animal Left Behind.
