Today we’re celebrating love in action, the kind that shows up before sunrise, drives for miles, and never gives up on a dog in need.

To our amazing transport volunteers, Dave K and Gene, who made the journey from Kentucky to Ohio and back to Pittsburgh. Thank you for giving your time, energy, and heart to get these pups safely to their next chapter.

To the shelters who work tirelessly to save lives, the fosters who open their homes, and the supporters who donate, share, and believe in this mission. You are the reason these dogs get a second chance.

This rescue transport of 32 dogs is in memory of Lena, who tragically left this world at just 15 years old.

Lena grew up in the rescue world riding along on transports, helping trap frightened strays, and loading cars for food drives supporting rural shelters. Compassion wasn’t something she had to learn, it was simply who she was.
