While the weather tested our pilots our resolve, the opportunity to give a second chance to 9 dogs was enough to push NDLB Pilots Jonathan and Pete through on a cold, wet and rainy flight from danger to safety.
On an unseasonably cold May morning we flew out to meet the Johnson County Animal Shelter-Kentucky where nine dogs were waiting for a flight to a new life.
Tyson is a special dog that our pilots fell in love with after learning that he spent most of his life in a crate. Getting Tyson and his 8 friends to a new beginning while navigating through ice, rain, and low clouds was no easy day.
All nine made it back to Pittsburgh where fosters from Bridge To Home Animal Rescue and the a team from the McKean County Spca.were waiting to take these animals. Their final destination? Forever Homes!
If you would like more information on any of these animals please contact Bridge to Home and McKean and help all of us finish the story for these 9 special animals.
