No Dog Left Behind donates 47,770 pounds of pet food

Watching 50 plus volunteers from No Dog Left Behind, The Allegheny County Airport Authority, and the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics brave some unusually cold and wet weather to get dog and cat food into the hands of people who are struggling due to the Covid-19 crisis reminded us of all that is still good during this crazy time.

Todays event saw 961 families receive 47,770 pounds of dog and cat food today at the Allegheny County Airport. So many people needed help and we were so happy that we were able to help so many. Over two events at the airport we have given away close to 100,000 pounds of pet food and helped 2000 families.

Thank you so much to our amazing volunteers who have gone above and beyond to help bring hope to our friends, our neighbors and our community. Pittsburgh Strong…its a saying that really defines all of us.
