13 dogs rescued in 13 hours on Friday the 13th!
Landpilots Brittany Lewkowicz and Stefani Markis drove to Mize, Kentucky to meet three wonderful shelters: Wags To Riches – Helping Animals In Need, Morgan County Animal Shelter -West Liberty,Kentucky and Wolfe County Animal Shelter.
One dog being brought from danger to safety was a pregnant black lab! The volunteers knew she could go into labor at any minute and kept a close eye on her. She was unfortunately found in a ditch on a very busy highway. She’s in wonderful hands now!
Four of the dogs were from the Kentucky prison obedience program and were just able to get out before the warden shut down the prison to prevent corona getting inside!
