19 dogs have a second chance thanks to a sponsored mission in honor of a beloved friend and pet named Charlie. In his honor, No Dog Left Behind Pilots Brad Childs and Pete Lehmann, along with No Dog Left Behind Landpilots Tim Bouvy and Stefani Markis helped bring 19 dogs who had run out of options from danger to safety.
The mission started on a rainy and cloudy morning when Brad and Pete took the No Dog Left Behind Airplane to Morehead, KY to meet our friends from Wags to Riches, Morgan County Animal Shelter -West Liberty,Kentucky, and Wolfe County Animal Shelter. After a long flight due to heavy winds we were greeted by 19 dogs who were patiently waiting with tails wagging on the tarmac. Once all the dogs were loaded Brad and Pete flew back to Pittsburgh where dogs staying locally would be going to Paws Across Pittsburgh and Bridge To Home Animal Rescue. The remaining dogs were loaded up onto the No Dog Left Behind Landplane and driven by Tim and Stefani to the Adams County SPCA.
19 dogs have a new beginning thanks to the love of a dog named Charlie. Honoring his memory by sponsoring a rescue mission is such an amazing way to pay it forward. 19 new families will now be changed by the love they will feel for the animals from this mission that they will take home. That love will spread and the message of doing good for animals will keep growing. Thank you Charlie for helping 19 of your friends find the love you had.
