Thousands of hours volunteering their time. Countless land and air missions, over 2000 animals rescued so far this year. From the operations, to the pilots, landpilots, staff, and the board of directors, a simple thank you doesn’t do enough justice. Today we are thankful, grateful, and in awe of the men and women who volunteer their time to help give animals they have never met the chance to become a part of someones family.
47 animals have a new beginning today thanks to No Dog Left Behind Landpilots Brittany and Emily Lewkowicz. The ladies set out early Monday morning for Precious Friends Puppy Rescue and Adoption in Tennessee where 47 dogs were waiting, tails wagging, tongues licking, and the look of hope filling their precious faces.
After carefully loading them into the Landplane, the team headed back to Pittsburgh were our good friends from North Shore Animal League America were waiting to meet them for their final journey to Long Island where they will all be adopted in time for the holidays.
It’s a story that defines who we are and what we believe. Through helping these animals, we can make an impact in the lives of the people who till adopt them. What story will unfold from this rescue? From the little kid who gets their first puppy, to the lonely sole looking for companionship, the impact that this simple act of helping makes will be felt for years to come.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, our loyal supporters, who make this all a reality. And to our volunteer team, you are the fuel that powers our planes, our trucks, and our hearts. Thank you Brittany and Emily.
