Hurricane Florence displaced thousands of animals during its devastating flooding. 15 of these special dogs made the long journey from danger to safety with No Dog Left Behind Pilots Jonathan Plesset, Brad Childs, and Pete Lehmann yesterday.
The mission started two days ago when Pete flew the Airvan to Camden, South Carolina and spent the night in a local hotel. Early yesterday morning Fostering Foster Animal Rescue met up with the plane at the airport and loaded 15 dogs into the plane to begin their second chance journey. The plane landed in Pittsburgh a few hours later and the animals were cleaned up, given three kisses each, then loaded back into the plane with Jonathan and Brad for their flight to East Hampton, NY
After an incredible flight with an amazing view of NYC along the way they guys landed in East Hampton and met the wonderful ladies from Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Inc. who took all 15 for their new chance at their world-class facility.
Special thanks to David Clark Aviation Headsets who donated two pairs of their top of the line headsets to our team. We used them on our trip and we all fell in love with their comfort and quality. David Clark is the gold standard in aviation and we are honored that they support our team.
