No Dog Left Behind Landpilots Christina McCool Colantoni and Kelsey Seybert gave hope to 62 puppies for which a ride in our Landplane from Tennessee to New York would mean a second chance and a new beginning. What transpires on these rescues is often lost in the excitement of seeing these animals go from danger to safety. In between this a story about perseverance and the will to spend two days on the road to play a No Dog Left Behind in helping bring light to animals that need us.
Christina and Kelsey departed for Clarksville, TN on Monday. The duo happens to be a mother and daughter team who have come together to share the incredible experience of giving hope to 62 puppies they had never seen before. After spending the night they woke up and loaded all 62 into the New Landplane and headed north, back to Pittsburgh where our friends at North Shore Animal League America were waiting to take these 62 to their world class facility in Long Island. Along the way they ran into massive traffic, storms, and construction. The day started at 8am and finished at midnight. What a powerful force, a mom and her daughter willing themselves to complete a 48 hour mission. They wake up today happy are ready to do it again.
Time and time again we are truly amazed and inspired at the dedication of our volunteer team. Their hearts are full of love and their passion to go further is inspiring to all of us. Well done Christiana and Kelsey.
Todays mission is done in honor of our signature sponsor at our Dog Days of Summer 2018 fundraiser, VCA Fox Chapel Animal Hospital, VCA Castle Shannon Animal Hospital, VCA Duncan Manor Animal Hospital (Allison Park, PA), and VCA Met Vet West Animal Hospital. Please support these amazing clinics who are helping our team give hope to thousands of animals.
