11 dogs flew in first class on their way from danger to safety as we welcomed back the No Dog Left Behind Airplane! After a long winter of upgrades and fixes to the plane she is back online. Early this morning No Dog Left Behind Pilots Jonathan Plesset and Lisa Acquaviva Pollock departed Allegheny County Airport(KAGC) for Morehead, Kentucky(KSYM) where 11 dogs were waiting to go an airplane ride to a new life.
In Kentucky we met up with Michele from Morgan County Animal Shelter -West Liberty,Kentucky and loaded these lucky pups up and headed back north to Pittsburgh. The German Shepard, Jaeger, had been in the shelter for a year. He hit the jackpot and is off to Char-Wills German Shepherd Rescue where he already has a new family waiting. The 10 puppies made their way to Pet Search where they will be in a furever in no time.
This mission was done in honor of the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation and their incredible support of our charity. Thank you again from the whole No Dog Left Behind Team!
