Terrible weather, stops in multiple states, an extreme lack of sleep, and having to use a rental van since the Landplane is being repaired doesn’t stop No Dog Left Behind Landpilots Teresa Gamble and Brandon Lyda from helping to give a second chance to 10 amazing dogs. The mission has special meaning for the No Dog Left Behind Team as one of our close friends lost their beloved dog Moab. She was an amazingly sweet dog that grew up with the Hollander family and their kids. This mission was in her honor.
Brandon and Teresa set out early yesterday morning in the ice for Louisville, KY. Once there they met up with Tunica HumaneSociety drivers who handed off 5 animals who were making the trip from Mississippi to Pittsburgh. After an emotional handoff the team headed out to Huntington, WV where they met Advocates 4321 to load 5 more animals. With a rental van full of animals Teresa and Brandan headed back to Pittsburgh, first to Butler County Humane Society where the first half of the animals went and then to South Hills Pet Rescue and Resort where the second half went. Such a huge undertaking in treacherous conditions. Then team didn’t get home until well after 3am. Its a remarkable achievement that has left everyone here at No Dog Left Behind in awe. Well done Brandon and Teresa! Incredible work giving these animals hope if the face of adversary.
All of these animals are local in Pittsburgh today. Please share these pics and lets get these 10 in furever homes by Christmas. Contact the Butler County Humane Society or South Hills Pet Rescue if you or some you know might be interested in one of these animals.
