15 dogs and 1 cat who were running out of time took a trip with No Dog Left Behind Land Team Pilots Lisa Thomas and Lori Kraus to a new beginning and a second chance on the No Dog Left Behind Landplane. The rescue duo, who are sisters, set out for multiple stops in Virginia and PA over the course of two days on a mission involving 7 shelters!

After leaving our home at the Allegheny County Airport the team headed South to spend the night in Norton, Va to prepare for the following days rescue. After loading animals from Humane Society of Pulaski County, Russell County VA Animal Shelter, and Wise Co VA Animal Shelter the team started north with stops at the Animal Welfare League of Arlington, Adams County SPCA where Homeward Trails Animal Rescue, and Humane Rescue Alliance met up with us at the shelters.

All 16 animals needed this life changing ride to find their furever homes. Today is the start of a brand new day for these animals. We are thankful that Lisa and Lori were willing to spend two days on the road to change the lives of these special animals. Great work to everyone involved!
