Last night a huge group of animals that faced devastation due to Hurricane Matthew are safe and sound thanks to an incredible effort by a huge team of groups that came together to make it happen. The Humane Society of the United States truck arrived at Western PA Humane Society late last night with animals whose shelter was wiped out in North Carolina. With no where to go these animals were spread out and taken to shelters all over. We got the late word that 10 of them needed help in their final push towards salvation. Thanks to No Dog Left Behind Landpilots Scott and Chris Everitt these animals are now in the hands of Humane Society of Harrisburg Area. The team deployed within hours and made the late night journey. After an exhausting trip we are happy to report that these 10 are safe and sound today. Great work Scott and Chris!!!!
