14 little beauties hopped on the new No Dog Left Behind Landplane full of hopes and dreams as they made the journey from our amazing friends at Wags 2 Riches Dog Rescue in West Liberty, Kentucky to our other equally amazing friends at Cross Your Paws Rescue and Steel City Dog Rescue in Western PA! Landpilot Captain Dennis Bayne and student Landpilot Andrew Morsillo headed to Kentucky on Friday, rested up at a local hotel, and then picked up our precious cargo early Saturday morning.
Along the way newbie Andrew sent a text to our Executive Director asking if it would be possible to adopt Jack, a little chihuahua who was on board. Andrew was looking for a dog and Jack stole his heart from the word go! Funny that the same situation occurred months earlier with Dennis Bayne! These transport “failures” seem to happen a lot. Hmmm…. Lisa Duffy of Cross Your Paws made this adoption happen and we are so thankful and Jack hit the proverbial “JACKPOT!” The photos tell it all! Congrats to Jack, Andrew, Jessica and brother Apollo their other rescue dog!
We love our partners and our volunteers are rockstars. So many behind the scenes loving stories like this one on each mission. Jack is hoping that his friends have the same luck that he did and find their own loving homes. We know they will! From danger to safety and beyond, second chances happening all around us. Its good to help animal. ❤️🐾
