13 dogs are now safe thanks to two No Dog Left Behind volunteers who sprang into life saving action!

Cloudy skies and wet conditions forced No Dog Left Behind pilots to call off a scheduled air mission this week. The wintry skies were not safe to fly in and they did not want to risk it. Down in Kentucky there were still 13 dogs waiting for their freedom ride, so land pilots Dave Stash and Walter Schwarz sprang into action.

Within two hours of getting the call, the No Dog Left Behind van was headed down south. The following morning, Dave and Walter loaded up the precious pups from Wags To Riches Rescue Inc. and Morgan County Animal Shelter and headed back home to Pittsburgh.

We are thankful for our friends at Pals4Pets, Senior Hearts Rescue & Renewal, East Coast Bulldog Rescue and Action For Animals Humane Society for taking these dogs in to be saved! In this group of dogs are a few from the Eastern KY Correction Center Prison Dog Program.

Please contact these amazing four rescues to adopt any of these dogs!

This mission was sponsored by Lisa Antin from The Alvin and Shirley Weinberg Family Foundation donating in honor of her grandson Adam Antin! Thank you for saving lives!
