23 dogs went from Danger to Safety over busy weekend with our volunteer team! First up – Ralph Harlan Jr and Dan Wald took off Friday for Kentucky so they could head to the shelter bright and early on Saturday morning to pick up these pups! Our friends in Kentucky, Michele Elam Caldwell and Tonya Spencer two of the “Fab 4” were there to help load up 23 dogs! Three of the dogs had just recently graduated from the Eastern Kentucky Correction Center prison program. These dogs are chosen by the folks at Morgan County Animal Shelter -West Liberty,Kentucky, they live at the prison, are trained by the prisoners for eight weeks, and then come back to the shelter and make the journey to Pals4Pets Rescue Inc where they will be placed with veterans of our military. It’s a win-win for all–the animals, the prisoners, and the veterans! Beautiful work.

The rest of the canine passengers will be available through our other partners Pet Search and Angel Ridge Animal Rescue both in Washington PA. We are so thankful for our partners, and our volunteers who give up so much of their time to save these precious little lives! Great job everyone!
