Some of the most vulnerable in the shelters are the pregnant animals or those who have just given birth. These situations can stretch resources thin and the need to get these animals out is dire. No Dog Left Behind Pilots Jonathan Plesset and Pete Lehmann got the call and jumped into the No Dog Left Behind plane on a cold and very windy day for the flight to Morehead, KY and a chance to rescue 13 dogs. Once on the ground they met the amazing people at Morgan County Animal Shelter. One very pregnant Lab, and a Shepard with 11 puppies were all loaded into the plane for the flight back to Pittsburgh.

On the ground back at Allegheny County Airport, the folks from Animal Friends met our plane on the tarmac and loaded up these special 13 for their new life and second chance at their shelter. The puppies are too young to be adopted so give them a week or two before inquiring about adoption.
Great work today everyone. Three organizations spanning multiple states all working together to give hope to 13 animals who before today faced a bleak future. Tomorrow they wake up with a second chance and a new beginning.
