It really does take a village. 20 dogs woke up this morning safe and sound with a second chance thanks to No Dog Left Behind Landpilots Mindy Wirick and Jim Moran. Our friends at Healing Hearts Italian Greyhound Rescue got wind of animals in a rural shelter that were scheduled to be euthanized. These animals needed immediate transport and our team jumped at the chance to help.
Early Sunday morning Mindy and Jim headed off to Dublin, Virginia to meet these 20 incredible animals. The dogs, a little frightened, could sense the kindness and hope that Mindy and Jim were providing and a sense of relief came over them. They knew…they knew that we were there to help change their lives. The team headed back North where three shelters were stepping up to take these animals and give them a second chance.
These animals went to Mending Hearts Animal Rescue, LC-ARF Lawrence County Animal Relief Fund, and Angel Ridge Animal Rescue. Please visit these shelters and take one of these animals home.
