No Dog Left Behind Goes International Rescuing Zoo Animals From A Town North of Montreal, Canada and Bringing Them From Danger To Safety

When we learned about a roadside zoo north of Montreal, Canada and the unspeakable conditions of the animals inside it broke our hearts. Seeing the images, the video, the sadness in their eyes, it moved us to act quickly. For Landpilot and Sisters Brittany Lewkowicz and Emily Lewkowicz the sadness and anger of seeing these animals in such deplorable conditions was channeled into a last minute No Dog Left Behind Mission to Canada. Our goal was to help play a small No Dog Left Behind in giving them the love and hope they deserve.

Thankfully the roadside zoo was shut down by authorities and the owner was arrested. Abusing animals and putting them in unsafe and inhumane conditions will land this man in a jail cell for years to come. While we are happy to see justice being served, the needs of these animals and what happens to them next is what matters now. Our friends at the SPCA de Montréal and Humane Society International were first on the scene, evaluating the animals and giving care while the work of getting these animals from Danger to Safety began. Our team was contacted by HSI to assist and we sent the Landplane along with Brittany and Emily to help.

Early yesterday morning the team headed to Canada where we loaded some very exotic animals into our new Landplane and headed back to the United States. To protect our team, and respect the ongoing legal process, we have decided to not disclose the types of animals and the destinations where they went. We are happy to say though that the animals we helped are in good hands. Their days of abuse are over and today woke up with a bright future and a new beginning. Thank you to the incredible folks at the Montreal SPCA and HSI for their tireless work. Emily and Brittany, thank you for being No Dog Left Behind Heroes to these special animals.
