It’s fitting that on Valentines Day 24 dogs flew from danger to safety on board the No Dog Left Behind Airplane. No Dog Left Behind Pilots Pete Lehmann and 17 year old Pilot Adrian Balister, one of only 4 pilots in the USA who got his Private and IFR Ratings at the same time, flew to Kentucky on a special sponsored mission. Once on the ground we met teams from the Wolfe County Animal Shelter and the Morgan County Humane Society.

24 dogs needed a second chance and the stories as to why always motivate us to act. One story was of a mom and her nine puppies. The dogs were found in a home after their owner was rushed to the hospital. First responders called the Wolfe County Animal Shelter who went over after paramedics saved their owner. Later that night the house burned to the ground. Unable to care for the animals due to do health issues, the owner had to do the humane thing and surrender her dogs. No Dog Left Behind is helping them, along with 14 other animals, because these stories pull at our heart. They inspire us to make a difference in these animals lives because its the right thing to do.

Todays mission was done in honor of Mike Iandoli by his wife Patti. Mike turns 60 today and his wife said “There is truly no better gift that I could give him than saving dogs.” Well Mike, 24 dogs have a new chance today thanks to you on your 60th birthday. Happy Birthday Mike!!!!

All of these dogs will be available from Cross Your Paws Rescue and Bridge To Home Animal Rescue. Please contact them for information on how to adopt these animals.
