While most people were enjoying a relaxing holiday yesterday No Dog Left Behind Landpilots Melissa Garvin and Jan Tucker spent hours on the road to help save 54 animals. The two departed yesterday for Virginia where they spent the night to prepare for todays rescue. At Martinsville Henry County SPCA the duo loaded up these 54 animals, gathered from rural shelters all over the south, onto the Landplane. All of these animals needed two things, a second chance, and someone to make it happen. Melissa and Jan delivered. The team is currently on the road enroute to meet our friends at North Shore Animal League America where all 54 of these animals will get the best chance to find their furever homes. Its a happy ending to a long journey from danger to safety. Great work team!
