53 gorgeous animals are on board the PAART Disaster Relief and Rescue Trailer today on a journey from danger to safety. Landpilots Jim Moran and David Stash left on Monday morning for a mission to bring hope to 16 dogs and 37 cats! They loaded up at the Allegheny County Airport and set off for South Carolina.

After a good rest in a hotel in Florence SC, they picked up their precious cargo from the Florence Area Humane Society. The guys the headed to Animal Care and Welfare, Inc where the amazing Sue Krul and her fellow animal lovers will find these guys loving homes – something that all animals deserve.

Look through these photos you guys–there are a lot but it’s worth taking the time. Look at their little faces, their paws, their noses, the patterns on their coats, one cuter than the next. They give us such joy and ask for nothing in return except a place to call home. What a gift.

Thank you to everyone involved in this lifesaving mission, to both the sending and receiving shelters and our amazing PAART volunteers who gave up so much of their time – congrats on a job well done.
