26 dogs with little chance at a future are safe and sound today after a special rescue by No Dog Left Behind Landpilots Don Siegel, Benjamin Ringelholtz, and Diana Simikian Betz. The team departed Allegheny County Airport in the Disaster Relief and Rescue Trailer at 6am yesterday morning. They headed to Catlettsburg, KY to meet Michele Elam Caldwell at Helping Hands For Animals. The first batch of doggies were loaded up and the team made their way northeast to the next pickup location in Huntington, WV. Once there they met up with Connie Gilkerson to load more animals for their journey from danger to safety.

With a full trailer and three happy Landpilots the team headed for multiple stops along their route back. First up, Ritner Kennel Rescue in Newville, PA, then on to Cross Your Paws Rescue in Irwin, PA then finally to All But Furgotten in North Huntington, PA. It was a busy day for the team but as they arrived back late last night they had helped rescue 26 dogs from multiple senders and dropped they off to multiple receivers. Its the kind of mission tailor made for our custom trailer and our incredible staff who made this complicated mission a success. Great work everyone and especially to the coordinator, Rachel Logan for all the time and energy it took to pull of this mission on the same day we were running other missions.
