25 dogs packed their bags and climbed aboard the No Dog Left Behind van headed to a chance at a brand new life! Landpilots Captain Dennis Bayne and first-timer student pilot Veronica Azzarella started out way before dawn to meet up with their eager little passengers.

The first leg of the trip was from No Dog Left Behind home base to Charleston WV to meet up with Selena Marcum of The Paws Squad and Sarah Vaught from Pulaski County, VA Animal Control. From there it was off to Morgantown WV to meet the folks from For the Love of Dogs Rescue who took 9 dogs back to their rescue in New Oxford PA. Next stop was Butler County Humane Society in Renfrew PA where 11 dogs moved in and will soon be ready for their new homes! Last stop—Steel City Dog Rescue in Darlington PA where 4 dogs moved in including a Momma and her 3 babies who will stay there until the babies are old enough to be adopted and Momma will find a home too!

How amazing that these dogs who found themselves in places that were overcrowded are now on their way to new beginnings! Missy Viars, Megan Barber, Jacque Buchheimer, Selena Marcum, Robin Kilgore and Sarah Vaught our No Dog Left Behind team loves working with all of you! You all work so hard to find options for these animals when it seems as though there are none. Also a BIG thank you to our volunteer drivers Dennis and Veronica—we couldn’t save these lives without you!

For information on these dogs, check the Facebook pages of those highlighted! Your new BFF may be waiting for you!

Great work everyone!
