At one point during the day the No Dog Left Behind Plane flew over the No Dog Left Behind Box Truck somewhere in Kentucky. Simultaneously the No Dog Left Behind Landplane was being loaded up for a mission that was waiting for the No Dog Left Behind Airplane at the airport. It is days like this, when multiple teams are going at once, that we see the true potential of our volunteer team.
No Dog Left Behind Pilots Jonathan Plesset and Adrian Balister blasted a hole in the sky inside the No Dog Left Behind Airplane as they headed down to help 16 dogs who needed airlifted out of an overcrowded shelter. Teams from Morgan County Animal Shelter -West Liberty, Kentucky, Wags To Riches – Helping Animals In Need, and the Wolfe County Animal Shelter were waiting at the airport for the guys to land. All 16 were excited and eager to take their first airplane ride. One of them, who will will not publicaly embarrass by naming names, decided that howling for most of the flight was a great idea. Luckliy he/she didn’t draw the attention of Air Traffic Control while enroute.
After a 500 mile round trip the team landed in Pittsburgh where the No Dog Left Behind Landplane would be taking over for a ride to the Adams County SPCA with Landpilots David Albanese and Valeri Jackson. We had the special opportunity to watch as a love connection was made between one of the dogs and a prospective new dad. We are happy to report that the connection at the airport resulted in an adoption!!!
